A Theory on Aliens

While the world was busy locking itself down during the spring of 2020, the US government publicly released UFO footage (see here). The footage showed what appear to be flying objects zipping around in front of an airplane and defying the laws of physics.

60 Minutes did a story on it (see here). Joe Rogan interviewed the pilot (see here). It stayed in the news cycle for a while and then eventually went away.

The way this story peaked and crashed always struck me as odd.

The other week a friend who is a Congressman who sits on the US Defense Committee came to town and we had dinner.

While we were there another friend pointedly asked him about UFOs and specifically these videos that had been released. The Congressman’s response was startingly.

He first off caveated it by saying that he had seen the classified briefings and while he couldn’t say anything specific, he could speak in generalities.

He then went on to say that these UFOs could be one of four things:

1)    Weather related distortions

2)    Advanced weaponry we have

3)    Advanced weaponry they (China/Russia) have

4)    We don’t know

The House Committee that looked into it determined that the objects in the video did not represent weather related distortions nor were they part of some secret DARPA project.

Could it be from Russia or China? They doubted that as well. If Russia or China had secretly developed anti-gravity technology, they would be occupying Ukraine and Taiwan respectively.

By deduction, the best explanation for UFOs was the We Don’t Know one according to this Congressman.

We have potentially the most important revelation of all time e.g. that extra-terrestrial intelligence exists and we cared about it for a bit and yet somehow our collective attention span has reverted back to Donald Trump.

Is the idea of alien life too surreal that we can only countenance it in fictionalized forms like a Spielberg movie?

We have to really think logically about what this is.

I would venture forth a theory.

I believe that these objects represent alien intelligence. But it is not carbon based life; it is silicon based life.

The first thing to note about UFOs is that they start really being a thing in the late 40s – that is after we first used nuclear weapons. UFOs really enter pop culture with the alleged sighting in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947.

The second thing to note is that sightings seem to occur where we have nuclear weapons. Practically every nuclear site has had a history of strange encounters with lights. These lights have even shut down silos (see here). (After the Soviet Union fell, the Russians revealed that they too were subject to such encounters.)

One could surmise that these UFOs are being directed to track advanced weaponry – they are not just randomly buzzing about.

My theory is that at some point in the past – perhaps millions of years ago – an alien civilization seeded this planet with their version of artificial intelligence in the form of what we would imagine to be drones. These drones have always been here lurking in the vast depths of our oceans observing dinosaurs, and then mammals and then the rise of our version of intelligent life.

The civilization that sent this technology here is in one of three places –

1)    It has long since vanished and these drones are orphaned technology relics.

2)    It is still around and actively observing us through these drones.

3)    It is around and moving towards us with these drones acting as the scouts.

Regardless, we’re being monitored and more specifically our capacity to destroy our planet and ourselves is being monitored and perhaps interfered with.

That could be a good thing – maybe, they don’t want us to destroy ourselves because they are nice. But it could also be a bad thing – perhaps they are trying to understand our weapons so they can disarm them when they need to – or they want to keep the planet alive and radiation free before they get here to conquer it.

Either way, it feels like they are letting their presence be known in a new and unusual way or perhaps we are just better able to detect their presence. At some point in the future – maybe tomorrow or maybe not for a few more decades – I think this could be the most important news story of all time.

Until then I imagine humanity will just be distracting itself by searching “Stormy Daniels” in Google Images.
